Dom is an international designer director and co-founder of 21-19, a design and communications agency, based in Melbourne, Australia.
In his 15 years as a designer he has focused on moving image design, the art of brand identity in motion. His work is highly rewarded and respected. Dom consistently wins major awards every year, including the coveted, “Best of Show” at the Australian & NZ BDA Promax Awards for his opening title sequence for the SBS drama series ‘Going Home’. His branding work for the international airline Qantas was awarded the highest honour—the Pinnacle Award at the Australian Graphic Designer’s Association Awards.
He has been the creative driving force behind many television brands both in Europe and Australia, successfully branding channels such as VH2, TV1, Max, Lifestyle, Smash Hits, Discovery, ABC, Fox Sports, The Comedy Channel and many more. Most recently his short films have found audiences in European contemporary art galleries, with his short film ‘The Reality Project’ selected to feature at the prestigious 10th anniversary of the ‘onedotzero’ moving image festival at the Institute of Contemporary Art, London in 2006. And again in 2008, for his animated film ‘In Motion’, this time at the British Film Institute in London.
Endeavouring to explore visual communication, Dom is dedicated to promoting creativity within the Australian design community. He is a founding member of the popular design website The Australian INfront, a nonprofit based community web project whose aim is to elevate the perception of Australian design around the world, by initiating collaborative projects and visual documentation.
Relentlessly optimistic, he is driven by an overwhelming passion for design and creative excellence.
